Failing to prepare

Once again the UK is witnessing floods, as many parts of the country are being hit by heavy rain and strong winds. At present there are 16 flood warnings and 154 flood alerts. Yet what surprises me, is that most people are not prepared or ready for such eventualities.

It is now a standard practice for businesses and organisations to have an emergency contingency plan in place. It is even recommended that families have a plan and resources so that they can survive in an emergency. Yet while I believe that everyone should have an emergency plan in place for their families, outlining what they would do in a given situation, the most important plan a person can have is spiritual preparedness.

As we approach the end of the age, and the return of our Messiah, we MUST prepare and make ready for the Day of the LORD to come! For most, this means taking practical steps, having enough food, the means to cook, medicines and things that can be used to barter. While I believe we should always take practical steps, most people neglect to make spiritual preparations for what will come upon the earth. However, a significant problem amongst believers is that they are not preparing because they do not believe they will be here. If you do not think you will be going on a journey, you will not make the necessary preparations for your departure.

If we do not prepare for what is to come, then we will not have the spiritual resolve, faith, nor the spiritual maturity to walk through what will come upon the earth, guided by the Holy Spirit. A soldier is only able to maintain his resolve in battle because he has trained, prepared for the situation many times. Soldiers will have practised and honed their skills to enable them to overcome, before going into battle. When I was in the military, we had a saying: ‘train hard, fight easy.’ This meant, train hard, practice, learn your drills, know what is required so that you can do it in your sleep – then when you deploy, you will know what to do and it will be easy.

The problem is, on the whole, believers are not ready, even when God has forwarded us what will transpire and given us mighty spiritual weapons to overcome the enemy and what will be unleashed upon the earth. The sad reality is that most believers do not know how to use them or even want to use them.

Thus I urge you with all I am, to make ready, commit to spending more time with God, in His Word and in prayer. Get away from the distractions of this world and draw close to YHVH and make ready, even if you do not go through the day of the LORD your walk with YHVH will be enriched and your life blessed by spending time with Him. Yet while you ensure you are spiritually prepared, ensure that you do not neglect to make ready physically.

Recently, during a time of prayer, the LORD laid on my heart the need for His people to draw close to Him, closer than they have previously been. The LORD, in a dream, showed me how people are being lured away from walking close with Him, through the things of this world, which result in them being held captive by the enemy – that many believers have succumbed to the deceit and lies of the enemy and are now held captive in a spiritual matrix. The LORD impressed on me the need to encourage people to seek Him and draw close to Him, for in the days ahead we will need to ensure that we are so close to Him, otherwise we will not survive.

Presently, around the world, we are witnessing severe weather systems, plagues of locusts, wars and rumours of war, and the Coronavirus virus. However, many are forgetting the devastating effects that 5G will have upon, not just humanity but, the global ecosystem. YHVH impressed upon me that what is to come upon the earth during the Day of the LORD, whenever this transpires, will be MUCH worse. When praying and speaking to YHVH about this, the LORD further impressed the need for us to draw close to Him. That the only way, believers can protect themselves from what will come, including 5G, is by ensuring they are clothed in the full armour of YHVH. For scripture informs us that:

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;(Ephesians 6:10-18 (AKJV)).

Note specifically here that it states in verse 13’ Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day’. Here we see that during ‘the evil day’ we can stand. But what is the evil day? I would argue that the worst day we could be standing in is the Day of the LORD if we are not prepared and walking close with YHVH, but if we are walking close and clothed in the full armour of YHVH, then WE CAN stand in that day and be victorious!

The sad reality is that many believe that the armour is something they can put on by stating ‘ I put on the breastplate of righteousness etc. however, this is not true, we put on the armour of YHVH, through the way we live our lives in obedience to His word. The process of placing the armour on is through walking humbly before YHVH as we submit to the authority of His instructions and teaching, as we walk in accordance with His TORAH. For the only way to ensure we do not succumb to the enemy’s lies, is to have the helmet of salvation on, which is the mindset of Messiah.

The only way we can be effective in our spiritual battles is to ensure that we are fully clothed in the armour of YHVH, so that we can, as believers, declare the name of Yeshua – Jesus, as we stand in His authority. If we do not, then the enemy will overcome us. For the Day of the LORD is fast approaching – a day that will test the hearts and minds of all men and women, as YHVH is searching out His people. The only way to be victorious during the time of testing that is at the door, is to submit to YHVH and walk humbly before Him, as we confess our sins and seek His grace and mercy.

Part of the ministry to which the LORD has called AoE, is to prepare people for the return of our King, Yeshua the Messiah, both spiritually and physically. Therefore, I urge you to make ready for the return of the KING of Kings our Messiah Yeshua. Seek YHVH, draw close to Him in prayer as you make ready spiritually and physically.
